    I would pull up the ash sapling asap.

    There's lots of herb robert in the last picture (little purple flowers). I think most of what is in the last picture, most people might class as weeds.

    thanks :-) The Sycamore is probably from the two mature tree we have

    They do self seed a lot. It can cause problems. The ash is the same. Best to remove as soon as you spot them.
