My Poor Alliums - Storm Hector !

Hello, I am new and this is my 1st question. Like most if not all of you Storm Hector is having quite an impact. My Alliums (Purple Sensation) which I have grown for the first time this year have taken a battering and most are lying over nearly flat on the ground. Should I during clear up cut them back ? Any other advice would be gratefully received. Thank you.

    Prop them back up with little stakes. And leave them to die naturally.

    Welcome to the forum Stephen. If you let them die back slowly, the nutrients will go back into the bulb for healthy plants next year. Sorry to hear about the flattening. It must be a bit disheartening.

    I leave mine to add height interest for the summer as the dried heads look nice.

    My garden is getting hammered with Hector. Pots over, plants flattened, clematises broken, rambling rose up tree now flat on the ground etc etc. And no letup until evening.

    Thank you all for the advice. Much appreciated. I hope that you did not suffer too much damage to your gardens.
