Yes perennial. I was given one and it survived up here in Perthshire Scotland...so bought more different ones and all have survived outdoors in the garden... just in soil...not in a pot or alpine scree bed. We have acidic soil..suits Rhododendrons etc. Enjoy..they are so cute.
They look like a type of Rhodohypoxis, they are low growing alpine type plants ideal for free draining soil and full sun. They are only frost hardy, so may need protection if grown in colder areas in the UK.
Yes it can be divided davemed. I bought one in a plant sale 3 years ago and have now divided it into two. They are very low growing and come in pinks/reds & whites as far as I know.
