Keep Annabelle hydrangeas white?

I have a massive bank of Annabelles that do not stay white for very long--they turn back to pale green after roughly three weeks.  Any ideas on how to encourage the blooms to stay white?

    @senoritaa_n_kc,..sadly this is the norm for the Annabelle,..this color change tends to happen after the bloom of white is about two weeks old.

    They are 18 years old and used to stay white for two to three months--I transplanted them five years ago and still stayed white until two years ago.  Any thoughts?

    You might find something to console you in the reading on Annabelle in the link below,

    I grow about five species of Hydrangea,..some change to green for no reason that i have ever heard of.

    Have other plants/trees changed around them? Are they in more or less shade than previously? 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
