Have a funny feeling that's a weed. If it is it will have small mauve flowers

I thinks it's one of the Willowherbs

    Epilobium hirsutum ?

I would say not Papi Jo. Those slightly dusty looking leaves look more like parviflorum to me. Hirsutum is more 'heavy duty' to look at

Willow herb, it must be a year for them, I’ve got them popping up everywhere, can’t leave them as I like to grow fuchsias.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • It does look like it will have some small purple flowers. I have seen some in the hedgerow so was worried they were weeds 😞

    You're right (as always) @nutcutlet ;)
