These pests have totally destroyed my lupins. Anyone know what they are please ?

It's a plantbug of some kind. Possibly the alfalfa plantbug. I'd have to look it up as there's a few similar ones.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Thank you...Ive I tried to find it but haven't had any luck . There were dozens of them !

Were they all grey like that? They tend to change colour as they age but the 2 spots on the thorax are a good clue. Maybe either:

The spots are smaller and closer together so probably the second one, potato capsid.

Thank you for your help wild edges. Yes they were grey as in the photo with green underbellies
