Alliums and Wind

The forecast is for 40mph winds tomorrow. Have some Allium Purple Sensation this year (first time i've grown them). Will they be ok in wind like that or would i be better off giving them some temporary support?

Better safe than sorry. Will you regret doing it or not doing it?

They came through the storm we had early June last year in my garden. It depends a bit on how exposed they are and which direction the wind is coming from - by which I mean if it's likely to be lifting them or swirling badly they may be more damaged than if they are just standing in a gale, which doesn't seem to trouble them much

Most of my alliums have about finished. If the storm finishes them off, it leaves gaps for other things.

I like to leave the seed heads as they so pretty and give height interest during summer.

I want to leave them there as they do add interest. I think better to be safe than sorry as you say and get some canes up em.
