Sambucus Black Lace

After four years of nurturing my Sambucas Black Lace, my dogs had decided to completely destroy my stunning plant. I now have a stick in a plant pot and a lot of branches and leaves.( these have been chewed off)
Is there anyway I could salvage the remains ? 😢

    Just pop it in a corner if it’s potted, water and ignore it,  they are amazingly resilient. My dogs tore mine apart and they are over 5’ this year

    My dog, for some bizarre reason, has taken to chewing my black elder this year.  Never used to do it.  I have noticed that my cats love rubbing against it every Spring when it just starts to grow..........but the dog's behaviour is new to me.
