please identify

These are growing out of a neighbour's wall! They are stunning and bees seem to love them.

Can anyone tell me what they are please?

    Centranthus ruber ... they also come in a paler pink and a white version. 

    Lovely aren't they  :)

    They do spread but are quite easy to remove if not wanted. As an extra bonus, the  hummingbird hawk-moth butterfly loves those flowers. Not too easy to photograph, though. ;)

  • I have a long walk from town up a steep hill. These are growing out of many of the gardens. I spend so much time admiring them that the walk seems so much shorter. Thinking I might take a sneaky cutting 😉

    @allymountain13 - they grow really easily from seed...
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
