Mouldy plant HELP!

Hello you lovely green fingered lot!

I wondered if anyone can help me with my very mouldy plant. I'd like advice on how to get rid of the current mould as well as tips for how to stop it happening again. The plant seems to be thriving apart from the mould. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum, Kerry. Mildew can often come from under watering, esp something is newly planted or in a pot. I noticed some on a clematis of mine today, and take it as a kick in the pants to up my watering routine. Good ventilation can also help.

Acanthus spinosus with mildew. They need a lot of water if they are in a sunny place.

You are usually told to pick off affected leaves but in your case you wouldn't have any left! Although Acanthus will grow again if you can bear to cut it down.
Seems a bad year for mould so as suggested water weekly and you could spray but I think it's too bad for that.
