Suggestions for lime foliage, please

AlxNicAlxNic Posts: 259
Hi
I have some euphorbias and love the splash of lime. Now I'm looking for a lime foliage shrub - one that won't get too large. I am considering Cotinus Golden Spirit. Any other suggestions?
Thank you

    Philadelphus......think it's Coronarius Aureus.
Mine is about five feet high after fifteen years.  Can be pruned back.

Like Joyce I've also got P Coronarius Aureus.
The foliage is very lime green as it opens in the spring. It does fade back to light green over the summer -  has scented flowers too.
I took cuttings from mine 2 yrs ago and planted them out, the cuttings are now about 6ft. The foliage stays lime green for longer if the shrub is in dappled shade.

Dill also has lime green(ish) flowers. Maybe I'm a bit late, but I sowed some last week intending to dot them around

Thank you, both. The Philadelphus looks perfect and the bonus of scented flowers. Great suggestion

Take a look at low growing Caryopteris Incana 'Sunshine Blue', good if you have free draining soil in sun. Hardy Fuchsia Genii is another option. Caragana Arborescens 'Walker' is a lovely fine leaf weeping shrub that has fine yellow flowers against pale leaves which changes to a delicate yellow in autumn.

I've found a Philadelphus Coronarius to buy.
Pete8, please could you tell me more about taking cuttings from the Philadelphus? I have a Belle Etoile which I would like more of. Should I take cuttings in the spring?

I've got 3 varieties and find cuttings take very easily from all of them.
I can't exactly remember what I done, but I likely took softwood cuttings in the spring about 4-6", remove the lower leaves, pinch out the top and put them around the edge of a pot filled with a 50/50 mix of mpc and perlite, water and leave outside somewhere sheltered. I think all of them took, because the neighbours also have quite a few philadelphus now too :)
