Plant Id please

Asking for someone on another group - any idea what this is? Was sold to her mum as an edible plant of some sort but label's been lost!

    :/:/ I wondered if it is Angelica but never grown it so not sure, please don’t eat it on my say so if it’s not it could be harmful to you

    If it is angelica it will get huge so you need to either put it in the ground or pot it up.

    I don't think it's Angelica archangelica whose leaves are like this. Quite a different shape.

    It's the wrong leaf shape for lovage too.

    There are different Angelica with different types of leaf.

    I should have said Scots lovage, Ligusticum scoticum.
