Not so much a bug hotel, more of a dosshouse. The gap between the garage and the boundary hedge is too narrow to grow anything, so I call it Habitat Alley. It contains the remains of a fence we had replaced, tree stumps, lumps of local limestone and masonry I've dug out of the borders, broken pots, hedge clippings and the remains of birds the neighbours' cats have killed. Something for everyone. The bucket catches the rain off the garage roof and I use it to top up the pond.
