Verbena Rigida

harmonyharmony Posts: 403
Hi, my Verbena Rigida have just got going in the last few weeks ( thought I'd lost them due to beast from east ). On one plant there is a taller stem growing out on one side and the leaves look different, the young verbena leaves are more serrated. I thought id ask for advice before doing anything, I had a little tug of the stem to see if it was attached to the main plant but I don't want to do any damage. The first pic is the tall unknown stem. Thanks...

Could be a self-seeded willow of some sort.
@nutcutlet will be able to advise
