sweet pepper

I have one pepper plant in my greenhouse. It looks strong, has flowers  but they drop off and there are black patches on the leaf axil. What am I doing wrong?

Peppers are self-pollinating but often need a little help.  You can tap the stems regularly which will shake the flowers or you can use a fine-haired brush to transfer pollen from one flower to another.  Temperature has some effect too but they will start setting at some point.  The black marks at the leaf axils are perfectly normal for many varieties. :)

Agree with BTG. I find the same early in the season and tap the plants when in flower as I'm passing, if you keep the doors open insects and a breeze will help.

Thanks for that I'll just go and give it a shake!

A gentle tap or two should suffice :)
