Honeysuckle query - black marks

ChrisWMChrisWM Posts: 214
I planted a Lonicera Periclymenum last May; north-facing, gets afternoon sun. All of a sudden, these marks have appeared on the top of the leaves.  Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks.

Could be the end result of an earlier mildew infection - what do the leaves look like underneath?

Hi Bob. No black marks. If mildew, what’s the best treatment? Thanks.

Mildew is very common on lonicera but is worse if they get thirsty, so trying to give them some extra water is all I can suggest.
