Wrong time hardwood cuttings ?

davemeddavemed Posts: 80
I have had some hardwood cuttings given me ( hoping they will take. Used rooting powder ).  I have no idea of what the plant name is.  Does anyone know ?
Thanks.

Hardwood cuttings can take from late summer onwards for most plants. I don't think it's too early. Keep them in a sheltered area away from harsh sun and see.

The photo looks like a type of Escallonia shrub.

Thank you Borderline will look up Escallonia.  I have a Escallonia though it doesn't look like the one posted.  There are I know many variations.

    Hello Borderline,
Looked up the Escallonia's and found the one ( or two ).

Escallonia laevis Pink Elle : Escallonia Apple Blossom.
