Mine is still growing fifty years after I planted it. Sounds like yours needs phosphate. Give it a generous fertilizer in Spring, and some extra super phosphate, if you can get it. Alternatively, Rock phosphate or bone meal. Don't use bone meal if there are dogs or foxes around. They are likely to dig it up.
Help please. My wisteria is 15 years old. It has never ever flowered. It also has stopped producing tendrils in the last 2 years and again this summer (2021). It has plenty of green leaf growth. It’s in the ground in partial shade. I was pruning it 7/2 when it was growing well but there’s now nothing to prune at the end of the season. Should I dig it up and replace it? Thanks in advance for any help.
Where is it growing? Against a wall or a fence? Facing which way? What kind of soil and have you watered it at all during the long dry hot spells last summer or during April when it was bone dry?
