Aquilegia

in Plants
A friend dug up some of her Aquilegia to help fill my garden spaces.
I've planted them with all the flowering tops chopped off to about 6" thinking they would flower again next year. They've been in for a week, and new growth has started from the bottom. Will they flower again this year by any chance??
