    Agree with Pansyface's ID - I think 3 is Cotinus 'Royal Purple', the Smoke Bush, and 4 is Viburnum davidii.  Could 5 be a Euphorbia?  Don't think it's rosebay willowherb...

    I can't help with the identification but just wanted to a big thank you to Fran and her grandaughter.

    The last looks like one of the euphorbias or spurges.  Be careful if it is as the sap can cause irritation and burns if it gets on your skin, especially in sunlight and it can be very dangerous if you get it in your eye.

    For the others, if you google "RHS+plant name+cultivation" you can often find info on what they do, how big they get, when to prune etc.
