    I'd vote for Verbascum thapsus.  Great mullein.  As to whether it's desirable or not, that depends on whether you like it... and whether it's in a sensible place, given its eventual height.  It's a biennial, so will die after flowering.  (If that's what it is, of course...)

    Pretty certain it's a Nicotiana of some sort.  .......... There's a pulmonaria within the canes near the orange bucket.

    You may well be right, but our Verbascum thapsus always have really silvery fluffy leaves ... there are other verbascums with smoother leaves ... possibly a hybrid?
