  Thank you for the advice and the photos, Fairygirl. They do look similar to yours. I might think of a perennial pot combination of airy wiry plants.

  I grew them as i thought they'd be useful, ppatter, but I hadn't expected them to be quite so messy. I'm finding alternative spots for some of them now 
  I think growing them with verticals poking through is good too. I have some with those foxgloves, and now have an astilbe in there with them as well.

  It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  I will try not too get too enthusiastic about growing plants from seed in the future. There’s limited space and I should be more selective.
