the first is a gall on an oak
The second is a campanula but we'd need to see more of it to say which one.

Weirdly I'd seen these galls on a local oak, noticed them, exclaimed to partner "WTF!" and subsequently erased them from memory. I found the oak again yesterday, and it was covered in these galls from bottom to top.
