How fragrant is clematis Betty corning

Is the scent anything worth shouting about ?

I have a spot on the pergola for a clematis to grow with a rose generous gardener, do you think the scent will clash ?  How vigorous is it ? I wouldn't want it out competing the rose I've been waiting a few years for the rose to start growing upwards.

It has a delicious sweet fragrance. When it's big and on its own you can smell it in the air. I have one near a Gertrude Jekyll rose, both smell gorgeous when you put your nose in them, but my sense of smell isn't as good as it was so I can't smell them in the air individually, there is also a Jasmine nearby.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
