My Graham Thomas is on his last warning. Bought 3 or 4 years ago and grown in a pot to develop his roots. Sulked. When we were packing up to move in September 16, I moved him to a smaller pot (serious sulking) with fresh compost and brought him with us.
Planted him out in his final position this week and TBH he's hardly grown so now he has good soil, well rotted manure and microrhizal fungae to encourage him he's on his final warning and no excuses. He grows or he hits the compost heap next winter. Not even asking for flowers this year, just growth.
