Is this a weed?

I had just given this the last rites and was about to dig it up but I thought I’d better check here first. Can you please identify it for me? Thanks.

    My first thought was burdock.

    Definitely Honesty, they will flower next Spring.

    I'd say Honesty too Lunaria annua ... a pretty thing and very useful in the spring border ... lovely seedheads too. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Thanks everyone. I should have identified is as honesty because it pops up all over the garden; this one is just outside the kitchen window and will look almost luminous in the half light of dusk.
