Sad Eucalyptus Gunnii help!

Hello All
I recently got a lovely eucalyptus from a local garden center , repotted in general purpose to keep its size under control and watered in.
However it’s looking quite unhappy, the leaves are browning and yellowing on the edges and I’ve no idea what I’ve done to upset it!
Its hd regular water but it has been very hot here over the week I’ve had it ?
Any advice gratefully appreciated

1. Did you soak the rootball in a bucket of water before you transplanted it into the pot?
2. How often do you water it and how much water do you give it?
3. What type of MP compost are you using?
The reasons I ask these are because my suspicions suggest that the plant has suffered a transplant shock possibly because it wasn't soaked beforehand.
The watering you are doing is not enough, not deep enough at this stage.
The compost looks to be a type that does not hold water well, it has a dryish look on top and maybe dry out very quickly underneath. That's my impression.
Personally, and this can sound a bit harsh, I would only grow this plant now as a summer annual bedding plant, to put in the garden for the season, and discard at the end of the year. It will soon become rootbound in that small pot in any case..
