@RoddersUK It's called White Feather and I've not heard anyone say good things about it, apart from the chap on GW.
I've not bought one because of bad reports I've heard, and I'm a bit of a pushover when it comes to buying more Hostas. ( 170 odd different varieties )
    Devon.

I couldn’t keep the white feather alive, it was a very weak plant. Everything here needs to be tough but maybe with a bit more shelter it may do ok.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Lots of folk on the Hosta Society's FB page use

I've not used either but I've bought from
https://www.hostaparadise.com/  ( over 3,500 different varieties. Venture at your own risk)
    Devon.

That white leaved one would be a waste of time here [although it might have been ok this year due to the weird dry spell!]
Might as well just offer the slugs my pay packet   :D
Is it just me - but I find these very pale ones quite ugly? I think they look sickly.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

No, it's not just you. I think it's horrible.

Not strange at all. If I could find an alternative that worked in my garden, I would. Unfortunately I'm inundated. Hope your egg shells do the trick!

I’ve tried hostas in my back garden over the years but without exception they were eaten by slimes Gastropods.  3 years ago I potted one up for the front garden and it made it through summer with one or two neat little holes.  I then bought 3 more and they survived last summer.  so far this year they look fine.

    probably jinxed them now !
