Tomato stem removal?

ShepsSheps Posts: 2,236
Hi everyone...one of the leaf stems on one of my Tommy plants is growing directly on top of a truss, cutting off most of the light, so would you remove it to allow more light to the fruits?

The leaf stem is about half way up and the plant is about 1m in height and growing strongly.

I don't cut the side leaves off until the plant has reached its ultimate height. Then I take the top out, and the bottom leaves. Up to that point you need all the leaves for energy for the plant.

Thanks fidget...I'll leave alone as its only got another 90cm to go until it gets topped.
