squirrels in apple trees
Last year when I had just a few apples on my three trees squirrels would sit on the branch and eat the apple without picking it. The next day they would come to finish it off and all the other apples. This morning I noticed one of my tubs of young fuchsias had been dug and no plants to be seen, not even bits. Would cds in the trees and pepper on the tubs be any good?

Have you got foxes or badgers about ... they wouldn't eat them either, but they might cart them off ....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
No there were no bulbs in the pot and I was surprised not to see bits of the plants about but compost in the pot looked 'dug over' like it does when squirrels have been digging for bulbs. I heard on a Gardeners Question Time a few months ago that squirrels had stripped peaches off a tree in a greenhouse. I wonder if there is any hope for my fruit this year. Thank you for your replies.
