I see them everywhere
where I live by the sea
and I really like them.

- likes the seaside
On a previous post, we thought no. 2 might be some kind of wheat.
3. red valerian.

The grass is Wall Barley, Hordeum murinum
The pink is Centranthus ruber
In the sticks near Peterborough

Senecio Cineraria, Silver Ragwort, Cineraria maritima and dusty miller, is, I think, the same thing.

The red Valerian grows wild here, out of walls, road sides etc. We have white, pink and the red colours.

It does here as well GD, very pretty just now. Thrives on nothing.
ive grown the Cinereria just for foliage, taking the flowers off. They’re a horrible bright yellow.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Thank you so much for all your help with the names. I have bought some red valerian seeds to try to grow it in the front garden.
