I have a poorly tree, please help :)
Hi,
My beautiful blossom tree is poorly so I'm posting in the hope that someone could help me identify what is wrong and how I can fix the problem.
I can't afford to pay a tree doctor at the mo as I'm on maternity leave (the unpaid bit)
I've attached some pictures, the tree did blossom but it quickly went brown and fell off, the leaves on some branches are going dark brown and wilting, there's tree sap on one branch and holes in some of the leaves.

The tree was here when we moved in so I'm not sure what type it is.
Thank you in advance

A view of what's around it ,and the general area nearby, would help.
It seems to be planted directly into the grass, and I can see various weeds there, including dandelions, which means competition for nutrients and water. You also risk damage to the main trunk when grass cutting, especially if you use one of those horrible strimmers!ย
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
