    @fire amazing, at least mine was half buried so I can see how it happened, they aren't even in contact with soil! 
    @Dovefromabove I was quite relieved when we finally got rid of that tree, slightly concerned if were going to have 100 new ones!

    @Jellyfire ... we can see a big eucalyptus from our bedroom window when we have our cuppa in the morning .... it's gorgeous .... from that distance  B)

    It was a nice tree to be fair, fairly open so not too much shade cast, but it shed bark everywhere and even though was only about 20 years old (counted the rings) it was about 60ft high and showing no signs of slowing down, the garden is a happier place without it
