Wisteria in a pot

Is this an option? I could take up a patio stone but just wondered if a large pot would be a possibility. If so how large. Any experiences appreciated!

The size of the pot will determine the size of the plant.
Personally, I'd not plant one in a pot if I had another option.

They can get to be very large plants if you let them. But not in pots so much.

Better to lift a stone and plant it in the ground with added goodness worked into a decent planting hole and then a good mulch of grit or chipped slate or chipped bark to help retain moisture.   You'll still need to feed and water it but not as much as if in a pot and it will be able to get its roots down.
