Is it just me or are there more adverts on this site than before? Can I stop them from popping up all the time??

    I get two to a page. I don't even register them any more unless I click on them by accident.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    If you install an adblocker you won't get them.
    Plenty of free ones available. I use Avast.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I use Adblock Plus.  It even has a little counter in the corner telling you how many ad's it's blocked on the current page, and in total.  It's currently claiming to have prevented over 41000 ads - result!

    I,  also, use an adblocker. I use Brave.

    Ad blocker plus is telling me it's currently blocking 6 ads on this page.

    If you use Firefox as your interweb browser it has some really good free ad blockers add-ons.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
