i would like to move my daffodil & tulip bulbs to a different location for next spring. Can anyone tell me when the best time would be for doing this please?

I don't know for sure, having never done it, but I would guess when the leaves go yellow and start to fall off. Then they've done their job in building the bulb up for next year.

Thank you DampGardenMan. I had seen the Monty Don video but it didn’t say wether to lift & replant immediately or whether to store them until autumn. Also didn’t say the best way to store them if that’s the case either.
    Thankyou for replying.

I’ve just moved mine from tubs because I need to plant summer bedding, I’ve taken them soil as well and put in compost sacks for now until the green dies down, then I will take them from the soil and store them in a box in a cool place until September for the daffodils and November for the tulips, some will go in the garden, some back in the tubs for next Spring.

That’s so helpful thank you Lyn. Will get doing that once this storm passes ☹️

If you have space in your garden, you can put the daffs straight in, I don’t because I can’t see a bare patch at the moment.  I do keep tulips though until November.
