Pruning of blueberrys....still confused
in Fruit & veg
Have got a small blueberry bush, grew leaves last year and has grown little flowers this year (thought these were where the blueberries were gonna be.....duh!) Realise now this maybe where they grow next year. So, when do I prune back and what branches do I prune back? If it is early next year and only the branches that have no flowers need pruning how will I know which ones have flowered? Should I identify them now by tying string or something?

but if yours are young they probably don't need any pruning yet.
If yours flowered but isn't showing signs of fruit forming behind the flowers then it may be that yours is a variety that needs another variety of blueberry to grow nearby to pollinate it.
Mine flowered over the past couple of weeks and already have fat little fruit forming.
