Compost surprise

This was growing up out of my compost trench.. what type of tree seedling is it?  The stem is quite woody already.

    Could be fireweed (aka willowherb) .. but I've never seen it growing down here in town.  The edges of my plant have a saw tooth to them.. I was looking around, and thought maybe it might be a peach.
