Plants in your country

Hello! How are you today? Plants are very important thing for me and so is gardening. I started it about 1 year ago so now I am a begginer in this subject; however, I love it. I spend most my free time in garden, where I can relax and take care of them. I wanted to ask you what are the most popular plants in your country? Looking forward for your answers!

  • I am French and of course lavenders and olive trees are both Mediterranean favourites back there.
Sweet chestnut and truffle oak trees reminds me both of the area I come which is the Dordogne.
I have also lived in the Caribbean, on the French island of Martinique when I was young and I remember giant Bougainvillea growing in every garden, as long as plantation fields of sugar cannes and bananas.

I wouldn't use the word 'favourite', although in Brazil they will say they're orchids. Mainly because you have nothing to do with them but water once a month and wait till that week of the year they deign to bloom.
