Is my Restio done for?

I have a Restio brush grass, Ischyrolepis subverticillata, growing in a container. It’s looking rather sad and brown, although the stems are still green, and can’t see any sign of it sending new shoots out this year. Has the cold snap got to it? Any hope for it if I plant it in the ground?
