Allium sphaerocephalon Rust

hi all,
ive Just put a bunch of (previously growing in a pot) Allium sphaerocephalon. Unfortunately they appear to have suddenly come down with a case of allium rust (possibly stress of the move) as they are covered in brown and Black raised bumps.
now I am wondering what is best to do next. I have garlic and other ornamental alliums growing in the garden and don’t want them to get infected. Should I remove it from the border and dispose of it? Or can I safely leave it without risk it’ll cause problems with my other plants?
