Picture one looks like Aquilegia. Picture two looks like Spiraea Vanhouttei, Bridal Wreath. Not sure on the other two.

I second Aquilegia for the first one, not a clue about the others.

Hi lizziec, I am total rubbish at flowers but the last one definitely reminds me of basil, do the leaves have a basil smell? Can't quite see if they are hairy or smooth.

The last one could be a phlox ... but it could also be many other things ... when it's got flowers we'll (hopefully) know .... don't think it's a basil tho' but I may be mistaken  :/

I'm wondering if the third one could be  a Solidago  (Goldenrod) http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plant_finder/plant_pages/870.shtml

Number  4 looks to me very like an  "Onethera missouriensis." A small evening primrose. Are there any reddish leaves at the base?.
I have been growing these in my garden. The centre of the leaves is just where the flowers are about to form.

I have just pinched off the top few leaves to compare with your picture.

But there again there are a lot of plants that look very like that. Try me on on something very obvious another time. :):):)
