I thought the article made quite interesting reading despite the fact that some of the images looked like an explosion in a fly-tip.  Craziest idea though was to put wine bottles on the end of canes as protection.  The obvious risk is the canes falling and bottles smashing.

    Wine bottles do make very good walls tho.   Plastic or corks would be better for cane ends.

    You can cut wine bottles, which opens up a whole world of possibilities. You sand the edges to make them safe and smooth. You can make plant pots, candle holders, hanging baskets all sorts.
