Using Gypsum to break clay soil?

I understand that Gypsum can be used to break clay soil.  I need to re-lawn my front garden as there are lots of patches.  I found some Gypsum at Wickes https://www.wickes.co.uk/British-Gypsum-Thistle-Multi-Finish-Plaster-25kg/p/220056 - Are these suitable to be used in the Garden?

Thanks

Thanks, I went through this before posting the question. I am not sure if I can use any Gypsum available or is there specific type of Gypsum to be used.

I'm sorry, I've always gone down the adding bulky organic route.

No Worries.  Just found a similar topic with exactly what I wanted to know.  https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1009858/builders-gypsum-plaster

Hosta's right.  The best route is to build up lots of organic matter and, maybe, a bit of fine grit.   Gypsum on its own isn't going to do it for you and certainly won't help with fertility for healthy grass.
