RIP acer

I re-potted an acer I was given in ericaceous compost. It needed some TLC I was told. :o Obviously past the point of no return, it has died. :'(
My question is, can I grown ordinary summer bedding plants in this ericaceous compost?

I expect you can Sue. I don't grow many annuals though, so others may be able to advise better.
Assuming it's a pot you have, you could always remove some, and replace with some garden soil or standard compost. It'll largely depend what plants you want to put in though.  :)

Do you have any azaleas, rhodos, camellias? You could pot up some blueberry bushes, or Meconopsis.

I have those, but they are sorted.
I was just thinking of growing something temporary before I get another Acer  :#
