Yellow and browning leaves Cordyline

Hi
I have several potted Cordylines and they seem to be getting yellow leaves
Also the tips are going brown. I pot them last year in multi purpose compost but guess I should change them to john innes no 3 with horticultural grit.
They have been fed with growmore and nitrogen feed (chempak)
i pulled some of the lower yellow/brown leaves off as I understand they fall off when trunk gets bigger but a bit worried that some more leaves have gone yellow now.
Another Cordyline that I have potted which in more in the shade seems ok and does not seem to have yellow leaves at all but trunk is less.
