Duckweed - what to do!

     Really PS? I'll have to watch for that. My pond is quite big with plenty of cover but the blackbirds only ever seem to grub about on the banks. 
    Coooo it's viscious out there.

    You will feed some birds probably but it's unavoidable. It only takes one Snail to lay a string of eggs and you'll have hundreds. The mole won't be bothered they're too small for him. Some Dragonfly larvae will also eat them but it's just the way it is. It all evens out in the end. Good luck.

    Yes it is vicious out there!! :| I think I might look into getting some..I'm fascinated now! I'm presuming there isn't a negative to having hundreds of snail ponds??

    I have two ponds,one for fish and a small wildlife pond.
    I get loads of duckweed in the small pond but every few days I take some out and put it in the fish pond.The fish seem to eat it so it never gets a good hold.
