What plants for me?

Hello everyone! Two month ago I moved out to my new flat, but I need to decorate it so I think that the best idea to make it more cozy is to  buy new plants. Unfortunately, I often travel. That is why I need plants that are mostly self-sufficient. I am looking for your advices about what plants should I choose. I need something easy to grow and also persistent. I hope that you can help me! Looking forward your answers!

    Hello 👋
    are we talking indoor plants?

Think about some self watering pots. They have an in built reservoir, so the plant does not go dry. If you are going to neglect them a lot, I suggest cacti.

Or any other indoor plant if you buy self watering plants. No need to put cacti in them and only get cacti if you have sunny windowsills.
Orchids are fairly robust to infrequent watering - as long as your trips are not longer than a month.

I had just posted trying to figure out what plant I had - it is my Avatar picture. I've had it for two years or so and consistently forgot to water it. Turns out it thrives on that. It's really a neat looking plant, and it comes in several different colorful varieties from what I've researched. It's called "snake plant" or "mother in law tongue" or  sansevieria cylindrica. I'm actually propagating it now because I like it so much.
