@Rubytoo,..thank you for that link,..no wonder there is confusion,..i am still trying to digest the information,..something to get my teeth into but very interesting reading,..thank you once again.
That is nice of you to be kind to the plant (scent ) it can't help it . You have some very nice specimens there. I did/do like them and felt a bit bad for getting rid. If space was not a problem I would have kept some. I worried what problem I might come across one year as I could see flies by a compost bin. There was one of the above lurking with intent behind it.
Edit You replied while I was composing, you are welcome re the link but I would not worry just enjoy your Voodoos
@Rubytoo,..you have me laughing out loud here with your comment about the flies by the compost bin and one of the above lurking behind it,..it is that kind of plant lol,..the description in Kew,..reads as foul smell/rotten meat/putrid smell/ one has to imagine just what its being eating or what a huge one might consider digesting,..it is that kind of plant.
My garden when in full bloom looks like a Jungle,..a Jungle of plants,.. so our foul smelling friend fits in well with very tall Delphiniums and Foxgloves,..a lot of my childhood was spent in the huge Greenhouses in the Irish National Botanical Gardens,..we lived across the road from it,..it was like my playground though i was besotted by plants
