I've planted a (small) patch of Lupin 'Avalune Red', and they are supposed to be dwarf Hartwegii types, so I wondered if they are to be pinched to become bushy ? I'm afraid lest they grow a single flower stem because of the restricted sunlight I have. Thank you.

    I think if you pinch them out you will lose the flower stalk.

    You don’t pinch lupins out.  These are just annuals so let them do their thing then throw away. You can save seeds for next year.

    Thank you, guess was going to make a blunder... I will allow them to grow as they please.
